Elle Madde Interiors was founded by Shannon Lawrason. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University's top accredited Interior Architecture and Design college. As part of her education, Shannon studied abroad in Italy. Based in Florence, she immersed herself there and across the country, walking the majestic cobblestone streets and touring the magnificent architecture and interiors. This proved to be quite a transformative experience in Shannon’s life, creating a fondness of old, European charm that she often brings to life in the smallest of design details. Shannon has 14 years of experience designing interiors, ranging from residential to commercial, in Florida, Georgia, Chicago, IL and Michigan. Shannon currently resides in Novi, MI with her husband and three sons.

Why the name Elle Madde? Elle Madde stems from childhood. At a young age, Shannon was enamored by Elle Decor magazine. Each turn of the page sparked a strong curiosity of the history of interiors and how various design styles have evolved, and continue to do so, across the world. Madde is short for Madeline. Madeline is considered one of the major classics of children’s literature, known for its rhyme scheme and colorful images of Paris, France. Shannon found herself fascinated with both the story line and imagery, alike. Fast forward to adulthood, and the names Elle and Madeline were top of the list for a baby girl. As a mom of three sons, and with no girls to name, Shannon knew they were meant all along for another dream, her very own design business. After all, these two names led to Shannon’s true love of Architecture and Design.
